Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies
Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies
Do you like Oreos? How about Chocolate Chip Cookies? If so, then this recipe is for you! While I do love Oreos, I have a hard time comparing them to homemade, soft and gooey chocolate chip cookies. So, how about we enjoy them both at the same time, right?
Enter the Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookie! There are a couple of ways to make them. In my recipe I used Oreo thins which requires a slight modification to the recipe, you need to add about 1/8 cup of milk to make the batter wet enough to stick together. However, if you use regular Oreos or double stuff, there's no need to add milk.
Here's a thought, you might try mixing it up a bit with some of the different flavor Oreos. I think mint sounds pretty good!
Ingredients
-
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
-
¾ cup packed brown sugar
-
1 cup granulated sugar
-
2 eggs
-
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1 teaspoon baking soda
-
3 cups all-purpose flour
-
20 Oreo cookies, chopped
-
1 cup white chocolate chips, or semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a reusable baking mat.
Blend together butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla over medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy, about 1 minute.
In a medium sized bowl, sift together the flour, salt, and baking soda. Gradually add the dry ingredients to butter/sugar mixture, beating over low speed.
Dough will be very thick.
Stir in the chopped oreos and chocolate chips by hand.
Roll the dough into balls (about 2 tablespoons each) and place on the prepared cookie sheets.
Bake cookies about 10-12 minutes, then remove from oven and allow to cool before transferring to a wire rack.
